Hi, I'm Viv!

When people ask me—"what do you do?" I always have a hard time answering the question. The short answer is that I'm an artist.

The long answer is that I'm a storyteller interested in familial identity, geopolitics, material culture, and my Malaysian heritage.

I make beautiful and challenging things across many mediums (design, video, illustration, writing, fiber arts, and more) to make sense of and share my experiences. I am perpetually curious and always learning.

I want to make others feel more deeply about the people and the world around them. I hope my work can do that for you, too.

I work out of my studio in Brooklyn, New York to develop and craft pieces for this store (yes, the one you're on)! I also host events—workshops, food pop-ups, movie nights (?)—at my space under the name No Strangers. Come through sometime!

Designer

I've been a freelance graphic designer for 6+ years. I specialise in layout design (decks, editorial, one-sheets) and have worked within the healthcare, tech, esports, travel, and F&B industries. I've also created brand identities for small businesses.

Storyteller

I collaborate with brands of all sizes to create engaging and authentic content—whether it's UGC or videos shared to my audience of 27,000+. My clients include Oura, MOFT, Insta360, Big Cartel, Fly By Jing, Method, Sanzo, and many more.
